Welcome on the WebSite of
The-Mineral-Web.com
Marcus Grossmann Minerals

Since Marcus Grossmann Minerals was founded, the company has specialised in the sale of rare and high value gem crystals, aesthetic quality minerals, mineral specimens from classical sources and rare minerals.

In the meantime we have decided to upgrade our website with a so called gallery. In this gallery we will show you now and in the future a fine selection top minerals worldwide.  This gallery should represent a great selection of top specimens from world wide localities. The specimens represent material which we had sold in the years before, specimens which are in our stock, or collection, or specimens which are now in private, or public collections. Anyway, if you want us to put the picture of your favorite specimen in our gallery, feel free to send us a mail with your specimen. If you have any additional questions, send us a mail too.

Have fun with our new gallery.

Our minerals have often been featured in journals such as Lapis, The Mineralogical Record and in the French magazine La Regne Mineral. The specimens were selected for inclusion due to their exceptionally high quality or mineralogical features. We also endeavor to describe and publicize new discoveries e. g. the sites of mineral finds on Zomba Plateau in Malawi was featured in The Mineralogical Record.

I started in Peshawar and we went up on the Karakorum Highway via Gilgit to Skardu from where we hired a jeep to visit the Shigar area.

Typical accident on the Karakorum Highway. A totally overpacked truck collapsed and blocked the road for hours.
